I know I’ve been silent on here for a while, but getting back into the groove with school has been tricky!
As many of you are buying pumpkins and PSLs in preparation for fall, I have also been preparing for my favorite fall tradition! This tradition is none other than the infamous Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale! The APS (After Party Sale) only comes twice a year and never disappoints! The discounts are so good that people line up for house at the store and online! I’ve been stuck in the digital queue before for up to 45 minutes because the digital line was hundreds of thousands deep!
Now that you know the skinny on what the APS is, you probably have some questions on what you can expect from the sale, so here are some FAQ.
When will APS be this fall?
It hasn’t been officially announced or confirmed yet, but the sale will most likely begin in stores on Saturday 9/6 and Sunday 9/7, and online at 9am Monday 9/9.
What will be included in the sale?
Everything released the end of December through the last summer delivery in July will most likely be included. Some signature stores will also include the first delivery of Fall, but it will not be included in the sale for corporate stores. You might also see some previous gifts with purchase for sale in addition to some recuts of your favorite items in new or previous prints! Lilly loves surprises!
Where can I shop?
All corporate Lilly stores will be participating in the sale as will their website! Most signature stores also participate and other retailers like Saks, Nordstrom, and Amazon will also mark down their Lilly merchandise for the sale!
Tips and Tricks
Sales like this can be tricky so its always helpful to have some tips and tricks to use so you can get the most out of the sale.
Shopping in Store:
Show up early. The early bird gets the worm and no one wants picked over sales merchandise! Lines will start to form usually around 2-3 hours before the sale starts, so the earlier you get there, the better!
Have a game plan. It always helps to have a list of the items you want, in the prints you want, in the sizes you need! That way, you’re more productive and on a mission to find what you want instead of just grabbing at random sales pieces and stuck waiting in a three hour line for the dressing rooms to find out what fits. I suggest trying on the pieces you want in store before the sale and writing down the style and print names so that you know what to look for when the sale comes!
Have as many devices logged into your account on the website as possible and use them all to hop into the digital queue. The digital line fills up fast, so the more “spots” you can have for yourself, the faster you’ll be able to get in and out with the items you want, and then quickly get back into the sale if you want to browse for anything else.
Once you have your “must haves”, be sure to check out ASAP! Items will sell out super fast and any items in your cart are not “reserved” for you until you check out!
Know print names, style names, and sizes you need so that you can quickly search and check out with your items!
Have a list of signature stores and their websites and phone numbers handy! If you can’t find what you’re looking for online or at your local corporate location, most signature stores will have what you’re looking for in stock and will ship!
